Flour Child

A project from my college years that I redesigned after 11 years of learning & growing professionally to remind myself how far my skills have come

ABOUT

In the latter half of my Junior year of college, we were assigned a sub-branding project and I chose to create a baking line for the regional grocery store Giant Eagle. I wanted it to be completely geared towards children and ended up with the punny name ‘Flour Child’. While I’m proud of what I accomplished with this project, I admit there’s a reason I didn’t win the Gold or even come close to best of show. Many things could have been tidied up, given one more pass, or pushed a little more. So, after reexamining this old work with new eyes, and more experience, I figured I could take another stab at making this into something amazing.

Other Applications

I wanted to explore what a “Dessert of the Month” subscription would look like and had such a good time spitballing ideas. Each month, subscribers would be sent an easy-to-follow, themed recipe for the whole family, stickers that match the theme, T-shirts, Aprons, and other swag!
